ZFA Israel Programs is the Israel Programs desk at the Zionist Federation of Australia. We are the Australian representatives of Masa Israel Journey and partners of Taglit-Birthright Israel. Through Masa Israel, we proudly supported over 350 Australians who traveled to Israel on a 5 – 10 month Israel Program in 2010/11. In the same year, local partnerships with AUJS and Chabad on Campus supported 300 participants to travel on short-term Israel Programs, including Taglit-Birthright Israel and AUJS Academy. In June 2011 we are partnering with Hagshama, to offer a 10-day Hagshama Taglit-Birthright Israel – the first Israel Program that Hagshama has ever offered.
The options available, especially through Masa Israel are expanding all the time. Long-term opportunities are available in a range of categories including:
- Classic and speciality Gap-Year programs for high-school leavers
- Undergraduate and postgraduate study at all of Israel’s universities and
- Professional internship, volunteering and other specialty options for 21-30yr olds.
