Who’s Who

ZFA Israel Programs

The Zionist Federation of Australia’s Israel Programs department. We are the Australian representatives of Masa Israel Journey and partners of Taglit-Birthright Israel, supporting almost 750 Australians each year on Israel Programs. We have local partnerships with AUJS Israel Programs, Chabad on Campus and Hagshama to facilitate the short-term Israel Programs. We are based in Melbourne at Beth Weizmann, but service the entire Australian Jewish community.

Masa Israel Journey

Masa Israel Journey is a joint project of the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency for Israel, and represented in Australia by ZFA Israel Programs. For all the Masa Israel long-term programs listed on this website, universal grants and substantial means-tested scholarships are available.

Taglit-Birthright Israel provides a gift of a free 10-day educational tour of Israel for young Jewish adults aged 18-26 who have never before participated in a peer-group educational trip to Israel. The program is intended for participants with limited exposure or experience in the Jewish or Zionist community.
