What a great opportunity to experience Kibbutz living in Israel!
Participants work on the kibbutz and sink their teeth into Hebrew language with an Ulpan course in about equal measures. The program includes lectures on Israel and Judaism, one-day seminars on current Israeli and Jewish events, and guided tours and hikes to historic and scenic sites. In addition, on most kibbutzim a five-day Gadna (experiential IDF-Israel Defence Forces-acquaintance) seminar is offered. Depending on the Kibbutz, you could be working alongside locals in gardens, dairy, fish ponds, Kibbutz shop, barns, factories, kitchen, dining hall, kindergartens or laundry.
Participating in a Kibbutz Ulpan is a time-honored tradition that visitors from all over the world have experienced for more than six decades. Today it is an ideal choice for anyone looking to spend some time away from home to become part of a type of community that only exists in Israel.
