Become a Birthright Madrich – Lead the Journey of a Lifetime

Are you 22 or older and ready to inspire the next generation of Jewish young adults?We’re seeking passionate, community-minded leaders to guide our January 2026 Australian Birthright Israel programs.

As a Madrich (leader), you’ll play a vital role in shaping participants’ connection to Israel and Jewish identity through meaningful engagement, care, and guidance throughout their journey.

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will have:

• Prior experience in Israel

• Strong knowledge of Israel and Jewish heritage

• Demonstrated hadracha (leadership) experience

• Active involvement in Jewish community life

  
  

Your Commitment

As a Madrich, you’ll be part of the full Birthright journey, including:

Before the trip

• Act as the contact person for the group and be available to answer questions when needed

• Participate in pre-trip preparations, including in-person pre-departure sessions

  
  

During the trip

• Lead a 10-day Birthright Israel experience

• Fly to and from Israel with your group

• Support participants’ learning, reflection, and connection

  
  

After the trip (1-year commitment)

• Continue as the group’s point of contact

• Attend post-trip events

• Plan and run at least one reunion or engagement event

  
  

Trip Dates

• 4–15 January 2026 – Melbourne & Sydney departures

• 11–22 January 2026 – Melbourne departure
