About the program
Zazim is a brand new 5-month Israel program offering participants the opportunity to develop their Jewish and Zionist identities, their understanding of Israel, her country and people, while building leadership and life skills. Zazim is an a-political, secular program, encouraging participants to explore and develop their own opinions and ideas.
At the same time, Zazim builds and strengthens our local Jewish communities. Zazim
participants are asked to commit to two years of Jewish communal volunteering on their
return with communal organisations such as CSG, Youth HEAR, AUJS, CHS, Flying Fox,
Friendship Circle.
Participants spend the first 8 weeks at The Machon, followed by 8 weeks living in apartments in the Tel Aviv area while undertaking seminars, meaningful volunteering and continuing to explore Israel. Participants will then travel to Morocco and Spain for 2-3 weeks to gain an understanding the Jewish Diaspora in these countries, similarities and differences to our own community, and deepening their understanding of Jewish history and of Mizrachi and Sephardi Jews in these areas.
The program is broken into three parts.

The experience was truely unforgettable
Aardvark Israel has helped shape and strengthen my Jewish and Israeli Identity.
I was able to live like a local and experience the ins and outs of Israeli culture with so many unique experiences.
The diversity of the programming allowed me to experience it all the tiyulim, the classes, the travelling and of course the Shabbatons.

My time with birthright was nothing short of incredible, it's curated to help create a sense of closeness to your group, our people and our land. The memories, feelings and connections I was able to forge with the help of birthright have been life changing.
