About the program
A powerful 7-day volunteer program to Israel created for experienced adults who want to give back, connect, and be there when it matters most.
Be part of Israel’s national volunteering effort while travelling with a supportive group of like-minded Australians. This program combines hands-on volunteering, cultural experiences, and meaningful connection - all in a safe, structured environment.
Program requirement: Ages 50–70
Registration closes as soon as the program reaches full capacity.

What are the costs involved?
There is a non-refundable $50 USD registration fee and a $300 USD program fee.
Please note: If you have previously participated in a Birthright Israel Volunteer program and received a flight subsidy reimbursement, you are not eligible to receive another one.
Who is eligible to join this trip?
If you’re Jewish and fit within the age range of 50-70, you’re eligible - whether this is your first visit to Israel or not.
Please note: If you have previously participated in a Birthright Israel Volunteer program and participated in a group flight or received a flight subsidy reimbursement, you may not be eligible.

What kind of volunteering will I be doing?
You’ll engage in impactful, hands-on projects such as:
Assisting families and communities in need
Helping with agricultural work on farms
Supporting rebuilding efforts at community centres and public spaces
Along the way, you’ll meet like-minded people, experience the real Israel, and make a genuine difference.
Can I have a private room?
Yes. Private room upgrades are available for an additional fee.
Do I need to arrange my own insurance?
Basic health insurance is included for the program dates while you are in Israel.
Please note: This insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions and only applies once you land in Israel. We highly recommend purchasing a full travel insurance policy for comprehensive coverage.
Will there be free time?
Yes - while the itinerary is full of activities and volunteering, there will also be built-in downtime for you to relax, recharge, or explore on your own.
